"Kites"

videoThe kids pulled apart a plastic Hawaiian lea and they took it outside. The wind was just right for flying kites so they flew their "kites" in the wind. They were out there for a long time having lots of fun!

Who are those cute girls?

We got some wigs for dress up and Loralie wanted to wear it. Then I asked Jacob if he would let me put the wig on him. He was really good about it but only for a couple of pictures then he wanted it off!

7 Months Old!

Adelae is so much fun! We are so glad that she is part of our family! She is always smiling and laughing. She has been my happiest baby and that makes it so much easier!

Loralie's Party

I can't believe that Loralie is 5 years old! Where has the time gone!! She had a fairy birthday party and it was so much fun. All the girls came had to do things like catch butterflies(hanging from the ceiling)with net or crawl through a tunnel and then they would earn a bug and part of their fairy costume. When they earned all their bugs they got their wings. I made a tutu, crown, wand and wings for all the girls. It was a lot of work but I think they had fun. I also made little fairy dolls that were on the cupcakes that they got to take home.

Loralie's birthday

I wrapped some dress up shoes in a train track box for Loralie's birthday and when she unwrapped it she thought that was what it was. It was funny she was excited for her own train stuff but then we told her to open it and I think she liked the shoes better!

We All Love Grandma Brookes

Grandma Brookes came over to visit and Loralie painted grandma's finger nails BRIGHT pink! Grandma was a good sport(I wouldn't let Loralie paint my finger nails!! she painted my toes instead!)

Glasses Already?

We were at Dave's parents house and Dave saw these glasses that go on his mom's build-a-bear and he put them on Adelae. It was so funny!

Rock Wall

In Jacob's room Dave made a rock wall. When we redo his room we are going to put more holds on the wall. The kids love to climb up and touch the ceiling.

Adelae talking to Loarlie

videoThis video was awhile ago but it was so cute. Adelae loves Loralie and Jacob. They also love her. She loved to talk to Loralie when she was little.

Christmas is the playhouse

We got the playhouse done enough that we were able to sleep in it(upstairs). It was fun being able to sleep out there except the whole bathroom thing! Dave had to make a few trips inside with the kids but I still think we will do it again next year. Downstairs we had all the playfood set up that I have been collecting slowly for the past couple of years. The kids loved all the playfood!

Working on the playhouse

Dave and I wanted to finish the playhouse for Christmas this past year, so almost the whole month of December we worked on it. There was a lot of work but it was so much fun to work on it together! This is me working on the wood lathe. I was making the posts for the railing inside the playhouse.

Loralie's turkeys

For Loralie's preschool once a month she gets to take the snack so last November we made these cute little turkey's. We had a lot of fun making them.

Halloween

Loralie was sleeping beauty and Jacob was a muskateer. They both looked so cute. We had trunk-or-treat on our street but when the kids started to come there was a kid that had a scary mask on so Jacob would not go trick-or-treating. He stayed in the car with Dave. We handed out ice cream cones with our machine. It was a HUGE hit. We gave out 150 cones and then we ran out of ice cream!

Jacob's Birthday

Finally!!! I know I haven't posted anything for a very long time so I am going back to Jacob's birthday in October! He turned 3yrs old and I asked him what he wanted for his birthday and he said, "I want a pooh bear cake." So that is what I made. It turned out pretty good. He loved it so that's all that matters! Latter when I brought his presents down he got SO excited and said,"I get to open presents too!" It was cute, he would have been happy with just the cake.

Loralie Names Apostles

videoOur Family has been learning the names of all the General Authorities. We put up all of their pictures and every time they said a name right we would give them a candy. It is amazing what they will do when candy is involved! Loralie learned them really fast I was amazed!! Jacob is still learning some of them so when he can do it all by himself we will post a video of him.

New Baby Girl

This is our new baby girl Adelae! She was born on Sunday July 27th at 5:48 A.M.. She was 8 lbs 12 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. When she was born her finger nails were really long. She has chubby cheeks and likes to make a lot of funny faces. She also wiggles A LOT! When she was inside me she moved so much! Now I know what she was doing in there. Loralie and Jacob LOVE having a new baby sister. They both love to hold her. Jacob always says can I pet the baby!(he likes to touch her hair) Loralie said the whole time that the baby was a girl. Dave and Jacob said it was a boy. When Dave went home to get the kids and bring them to the hospital to see Adelae the first thing she said to Dave was "I was right dad, the boys (Dave and Jacob) were wrong!" It was funny!

The 24th of July

On the 24th of July we went over to Joe and Steph's new house for a BBQ. The kids got to go swimming and we did some day time fire works then they played with glow sticks on the trampoline. They had a lot of fun with the glow sticks!
